Update posted by Mar Roxas at 10am: "Sonar equipment from Cebu has arrived and now being deployed. Search area has depths of 40 to 87 mtrs. Human Scuba can only do 10 min at 40 mtrs before nitro narcosis."

From Ayee Macaraig in Masbate: Butch Robredo, brother of Sec Jesse Robredo, doesn't speek to media but looks distraught. Earlier, he rode a boat to help deliver food to rescuers. He has a problem seeing, a hereditary problem in their family.

Command post is in Lasala Beach, Barangay Ibingay, Masbate City. Beach has been converted into a command center with mini-huts used by police and first aid; main tent being used by national officials. (via Ayee Macaraig)
