  • CROWDSOURCED FLOOD WATCH: Rappler follower @jhoumhar reports Visayas Ave in Quezon City is almost flooded. Passable still. But rains are strong and visibility is low.

  • As of 4am: Water levels upstream at Upper Marikina Watershed in Montalban now at 27.68. Marikina River water level (Sto Niño station) 20.11.

  • NDRRMC Update as of 6am today: - Based on the report of DSWD as of 6:00 AM, 09 August 2012, the total number of population affected in 1,529 Barangays / 128 Municipalities / 30 Cities in 16 Provinces of Regions I, III, IV-A, IV-B, VI and NCR is: 454,093 families / 1,953,481 persons
    - Of the above total affected, 111,079 families/ 538,445 persons are currently served inside and outside evacuation centers
    o Inside 488 Evacuation Centers (ECs) 61,895 families / 292,809 persons
    o Outside ECs (relatives/friends) 49,184 families / 245,636 persons
  • NDRRMC Update: As of 6:00 AM, 09 August 2012, a total of 154 roads and 4 Bridges are not passable to all types of vehicles in Regions I, II, III, IV-A, VI, CAR and NCR due to flooding. Most of the reported non-passable ways are from NCR
  • NDRRMC Update as of 6am today: • Water releases from the critical dams is expected to affect the following areas: San Manuel, San Nicolas, Tayug, Sta Maria, Asingan, Villasis, Alcala, Bautista, Rosales and Bayambang in Pangasinan; Ramon in Isabela San Mateo, Rizal; Aurora, Cabanatuan, Luna, Reina Mercedes, Burgos, Naguilian and Gamu; and the low lying areas along Angat river from Norzagaray and Hgonoy;
    • All residents living in the areas near the Ipo, Ambuklao, Binga, San Roque and Magat dams are advised to be alert for possible increase in the water level downstream and those near the La Mesa dam are advised to be alert for the overflow of water in La Mesa Dam.
  • NDRRMC Update as of 6am today: A total of 3,035 houses were damaged in Regions I, III, IV-A, IV-B and VI: 358 totally and 2,677 partially damaged. A total of 89 Cities/Municipalities from NCR, Regions I, III, and IV-A have severe floodings. Most of the reported areas are from Region IV-A (21 Municipalities) and NCR (15 Cities and 1 Municipality).

    • NCR: Marikina, Malabon, Navotas, Valenzuela, Muntinlupa, San Juan, Pasig, Pasay, Caloocan and Pateros
    • Region III: Bataan, Pampanga, Zambales and Bulacan
    • Region IV-A: Laguna
    • Region IV-B: Palawan (Culion, El Nido and Linacapan only)
  • PAGASA Update: as of 7:30 am Moderate to heavy rains over Bataan.

  • The country's two major airlines, Philippine Airlines (PAL) and Cebu Pacific, have waived anew rebooking fees and charges for passengers unable to take their flights due to widespread flooding in parts of Luzon. Read more: PAL, Cebu Pac extend waiver on rebooking fees

  • From PAGASA: As of 11:30AM: YELLOW WARNING(updates): based on the 11:00AM observation, Moderate rainfall (5.0-7.5 mm/hr) was observed over CAMANAVA while Light to Moderate rainfall (1.0-5.0 mm/hr) over QC and Manila. People are advised to MONITOR for the next update.

  • From PAGASA: RAINFALL WARNING SIGNAL:(TERMINATED)

    Target Areas: Metro Manila

    Light to Moderate rainfall (1.0-7.0 mm/hr) are observed for the past 2 hours.

    With this development, all Rainfall Warnings are now TERMINATED.

    People are still advised to monitor the weather condition and watch out for next updates.
